Living a Healthful Life

Physical activity and the avoidance of harmful substances—such as tobacco, alcohol, and mind-altering drugs—help cultivate mental clarity and sound decision-making.

Healthy life style
A plant-based diet, as embraced by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, is more than a nutritional choice—it’s a spiritual commitment to honoring the body as a temple of God. This approach excludes unclean meats, as defined in biblical teachings (such as pork and shellfish), and instead emphasizes foods that nourish both body and soul.
🌱 Core Components
Legumes (beans, lentils, peas): Rich in protein, fiber, and essential minerals, legumes support heart health and stabilize blood sugar.

Whole grains (brown rice, oats, quinoa): Provide sustained energy, aid digestion, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

Nuts and seeds (almonds, walnuts, chia, flax): Packed with healthy fats, protein, and antioxidants that promote brain and cardiovascular health.

Fruits and vegetables: Offer a wide spectrum of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that strengthen immunity and reduce inflammation.

Vitamin B12: Since B12 is primarily found in animal products, Adventists who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet ensure supplementation or fortified foods to maintain nerve function and red blood cell production.
